A birdhouse for chickadees, wrens and titmice, with a 32 mm door ringed in yellow like a story you haven’t watched yet. No perch, on purpose: perches mostly help predators.

The roof is a tray for two centimetres of moss and stonecrop, so the house grows its own lawn. The floor slides out for a clean between seasons.

It comes with its first follower, a small printed finch that pegs into the roof. The rest you earn the old way: put out a nice house and wait.

How it works

  1. Hang it 1.5 to 3 m up, facing away from the afternoon sun.
  2. Press moss or stonecrop into the roof. Water it when it looks sad.
  3. Wait. Real followers take a while.
